Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are the ideal solution for teeth with minor imperfections – small chips and cracks, misalignment, irregular surfaces, unsightly gaps, or deep discoloration that whitening can’t reach. Made from porcelain, veneers are eggshell-thin prosthetic fittings that are layered over your existing teeth to create a whiter, more uniform smile.

How much do veneers cost?
The cost of veneers varies according to the requirements of each patient. Making an appointment to consult with the cosmetic dental team at Beaufort Dental Care is the quickest way to find out if veneers are right for you.

How long do veneers last?
With good oral hygiene, teeth veneers can last for up to 10 years.

How are veneers applied?
The procedure usually requires three trips to the dentist. Firstly, your dentist will trim the tooth, removing a layer of enamel that corresponds in thickness to that of the veneer; this can be done with or without anaesthetic. Dental impressions will then be taken and sent to a technician who will manufacture the veneer – a process that can take 2-4 weeks. Your new veneer will then be bonded, carefully, to your existing tooth with a cement that is fixed using a high-intensity curing light.

White fillings, inlays and onlays

If your family dentist flags a cavity before it becomes too deep-rooted, fillings, inlays and onlays are excellent cosmetic options for anyone requiring minor dental work. At Beaufort Dental Clinic we offer amalgam and mercury-free white fillings, created using a putty-like resin that can be moulded to fit your tooth exactly. For teeth that are more decayed, inlays and onlays go slightly further, using mouldable porcelain or composite to restore the top part of the tooth, either inside or outside its edges. The result is natural-looking and hardly noticeable.

Ceramic crowns

Crowns are a tried and tested solution for myriad dental imperfections, from cracked teeth to discolouration and even minor misalignment. They can also be used to anchor a dental bridge, to fill in an unsightly gap in your smile. Here at Beaufort Dental, we offer several aesthetic options, ranging from traditional gold to the high-tech materials such as zirconia. Our E-max all-ceramic crowns are widely considered to be the most natural-looking choice for restoring your smile. For a discussion of our full range and which would best suit you, call us today.
